good luck Curt.
the yamaha 292 was a very potent single cylinder motor. weather it be a yamaha sr 292 or a snow jet thunder jet 292. these are  highly sought after single cylinder race sleds.

a guy by the name of Danny Delisle from Warren Mn cleans up in the 300 single cylinder class. he also beats 340's and is highly competive against the 440's with his '73 yamaha sr 292 on the oval tracks.
Danny has by far the fastest single cylinder racer i have ever seen.

No doubt,Danny's sr 292 is quite the sled.the reed valve/fan cooled motors are also very good.there was on ebay a 2 weeks ago and i missed it.

Easy guys, i know Delisle is f***ing FAST.  I dont want to make myself a fool and race him.  lol  I just want to build a Gp, not a sr or t-jet, i want to try racing at Wolf Lake Outlaw racing this year in the single class.  lol, me beat Danny, no chance in heck i would win, unless i had nos running in it.  And even that would be hard to beat his label X sr 292.  I just want to find a GP or a SST 292.  Sorry for the confusning

ok guys, educate me, what is label X ?
i used to race yamaha's in the old days in OH, PA & NY remember back when we had snow, late 60's early 70"s.

unfortunately life being what it is i now reside in the sunny south (atlanta). i usually check in every day or so since
finding this site just to keep up. my hopes are to retire in about 4 years and go back to WV but in the meantime i have
a 71 292GP w/git kit, & 72 292SR on a trailer in my garage
back home  , also a factory prototype serial #001 sno-phantom, 340R jlo probably should sell, as i am not as young as i once was.

"label X" is label X motorsports.  they make custom pipes for vintage race sleds and build vintage and newer race engines.
I believe thay have a pipe for that sr 292 that will really scream.
