Hey there rupp guys,

I was talking with an older guy in my class and we starting talking vintage sleds. we went on a bout getting them stuck and how light they are and how hard they run, anyways we start talking about some of the sleds that we own. I told him about my Yamaha's and ski-doo's and went on awhile about them. He then told me about this old red sled that was sitting in his field for about ten years, he said it was a rupp nitro. my eyes got a little bigger knowing that nitros are pretty sweet sleds he then explained how you could see the heads of the motor, i was confused no nitros were all open right? He than repeated how the heads on this thing were pretty big i asked him how many cylinders and he said i think it has three, my jaw dropped i dont think they ever made a 650 nitro if im mistaken. He is getting me some photos of it tomorrow and i think it will be just a regular nitro 440 or 340 f/a, but who knows maybe it is something bigger

Is their any rupp sleds that you could see the motor on era '74-'77

did they ever make a 650 nitro or anything?

If it's real, it will be a wide track, have a big fan cooled twin that you've never seen before and a broken crank/blown motor.

He states the motor is a free-air and its a nitro. so that gets me to thinking it is a '74-'75. I asked about the style of the hood and he says it is wider at the belly pan and has a low profile.

He says you can see the motor when you sit on it. the motor is coming out of the hood.

When you sit on a 73 Mag the motor is in your lap. and they are a free air sled. The lower half of the sled is wider than the top half and the paint sceme is very simular to the 1973 Nitro.
