Thanks for that info. Used steel pop rivets instead of aluminum but I want this thing well done so will investigate the bolt option.

Thanks again resto & after rereading your earlier post as to how they turn. Yes they do run true & all are solid ecept the 2 with cracks & they are a little loose so would like to look for spares to make them right. Used wheel bearing grease to repack them before assembling.

I have used 5/32" steel rivets when I put them back together. Never have had a problem yet.

We have a sandblaster that worked real well. Our son,journeyman in paint & body give it the paint job. A little more progress today

I don't think you would ever get all the nooks & cranny's myself. I think the blaster would be a better job in the end. Sandpaper would take forever. Also heard of having them acid dipped but have no experience with it myself. Sandblasting should be able to be done at a reasonable cost. Just my opinion.
