my carb jets, ports and passages are clean, fuel pump works fine as well as all hoses are new and unclogged inc the one in the tank. to start my engine i cover the intake to choke(same very reliable starting procedure i have been using for six years with that same engine)after a couple pulls there is gas in the carb, i remove cover and it starts next pull or two.
so i brought my sled home after riding, via a truck and attempted to start it after unloading it, no go so i choked it and when it started it died.
after a couple more attempts it was obvious  it was starving for fuel.

the next day i went through the carb and fuel pump twice, i could keep it running by choking on and off with my hand over the carb(my choke plunger has been froze up since i got the sled thats why i use a different choking method)but no improvement in fuel starvation. ok why this is impossible is because the engine is sound fuel lines and pump are sound carb bowl has gas carb IS clean.

ok well like i sed my choke has been stuck SOLID since i got the sled. i noticed it was stuck open last night and the throttle butterfly was set to closed so its been idling through the choke passage (fuel part of choke is clogged and i dont cared cuz i dont use the choke)  i figured air is bypassing jets that way so i filled the choke port with solder and about snaped my neck is runs so good now lol. now i dont know why its been running so well the last six years... the answer seams impossible.
