Hi,
Its starting to look like I need my on personal Message Forum titled "Where Neophytes Go to Confess Their Crimes Against Vintage Snowmobiles" or maybe "I'm an Idiot!" for short.
I couldn't get the Kitty Cat flywheel off with some fabbed up puller (that I didn't read about doing here!) so I applied some heat to the flywheel enough to make the points cover and coil look like this...
If I hook up the ohm meter to the little contact tab on the side of the coil and the other lead to the end of the spark plug wire, I get 6000 ohms, which seems like a non-random number. Would anyone know what that number is supposed to be? I tried to check the coil off the Elan but I don't get anything. I am assuming that I am trying to compare apples and oranges though.
Where would be a good place to look for Kitty Cat Parts?
Thanks
BPJ
