Alert Board Moderator about this Post!
I recently bought a 72 SST 433.  I cant find any pictures that look like mine.  On mine the sides of the hood in front of the silver moulding are black under the white SNO JET, like the 1970 Ski Doo Nordik that I had was.  Is this a different model, something the dealer did, or something the previous owner did?  It has the Y433 and bogie wheels.  I haven't done much with it yet except clean it and check for spark.

I just had it running on one cylinder from a can because I haven't cleaned the tank yet!

I am not sure what happened but I put in 2 new plugs and they both were firing so I tried to start it and it was running on both cylinders!  The only things that don't work yet are the tail lights, tach light, tach, and the kill switch.

I'll dig around I think that I have a manual that covers your sled.
Congrats on getting it running Smiley

I have an owners manual for the 72 and I thought that it had the wiring diagram in it but it doesn't.

I looked and the tail light bulbs are burnt out.  The tach light is probably the same way.  The only thing I am not sure about is the tach.  It moves a little when it is runnig but I'm not sure if it is just from vibrations or if it might have a bad connection somewhere.  Someone has different connectors going to the kill switch so I might just remove it  and install a tether switch instead.  Does anyone know about the black on the sides of the hood.

I have a 72 and 73 SST, none with the black on it like yours. I have seen black on a few of them and I think it looks rather nice.
